Digital Platform: the new digital portal of Mitsui Sumitomo Seguros
How Mitsui scaled efficiency, experience, and revenue with an insurance platform

Mitsui Sumitomo Seguros is one of the leading global insurers, with a strong presence in Brazil and consolidated operations in corporate and business insurance. Recognized for its solidity, the company operates in an increasingly competitive, regulated market pressured by digital advances.
In this scenario, balancing innovation, operational efficiency, and risk control has become a strategic challenge. To sustain its growth in the medium and long term, Mitsui has been strengthening its digital portfolio and evolving its product models. TRINCA became a strategic partner in this journey, supporting everything from product conception to continuous evolutions.

The context of the Digital Platform's modernization
Mitsui faced a structural challenge in its digital portfolio. The previous platform, over 7 years old, no longer met the scale, operational efficiency, and experience demands required by the market and brokers.
The scenario was marked by a high volume of underwriting tickets, strong dependence on manual analysis, low fluidity in the contracting process, and technical limitations to scale the operation and launch new products. At the same time, global insurers were advancing rapidly in their digital initiatives, raising the standard of experience and speed in the sector.
The initial challenge was to digitalize the most complex product in the portfolio, the Massified Business. To do this, it was necessary to drastically reduce contracting time and underwriter dependence on lower complexity risks, without compromising operational security. In addition, the broker's experience needed to evolve significantly, making the journey faster and more intuitive, without losing the robustness required by a highly complex product.
More than competing, Mitsui needed to create a digital foundation capable of sustaining its growth strategy.
TRINCA as a strategic partner in digital evolution
From the beginning, TRINCA acted as Mitsui's strategic partner, conducting a structured discovery process to reduce uncertainties, align expectations, and define a scope oriented to business value.
“TRINCA has all the techniques to absorb this knowledge, document it, design the customer journey, look at how things will work beforehand, and structure the phases. The proposed methodology has greatly helped us gain agility, reduce risks, and deliver a high-level experience to consumers.”
Clayton Palandrani - CIO and COO at Mitsui Sumitomo Seguros
The adopted strategy prioritized:
Incremental evolution of the product through multiple MVPs, reducing risks and accelerating deliveries.
Design of digital journeys focused on broker usability.
Technological architecture prepared for high volume, integrations, and future expansion.
Continuous involvement in technical and product analysis, ensuring long-term sustainable decisions.
This approach allowed a complex scenario to be transformed into a solution prepared for continuous evolution.

The solution: an integrated and scalable Digital Platform
The result of this work was the development of a Digital Platform that organizes the journey from end to end, from quoting to post-sales. The solution integrates operational efficiency and user experience, creating a consistent foundation for the operation and its continuous evolution. Among the platform's main features are:
Complete digital sales flow, including new and similar insurance.
Post-sales flows, such as Mitsui renewals and endorsements.
Policy issuance in approximately 5 minutes, drastically reducing contracting time.
Integration with multi-calculation platforms through documented APIs, expanding distribution channels.
Clear separation between Mass Market and Corporate risks, ensuring focus and specialization by segment.
This structure allowed Mitsui to efficiently serve the volume segment while preparing the operation for higher complexity risks.

Business results and impacts
The Digital Platform has become a central pillar of Mitsui Sumitomo Seguros' digital strategy. Currently:
30% of the company's revenue is generated directly by the platform.
70% of the revenue comes from integrations with multi-calculation platforms.
There was a significant reduction in operational friction and manual dependency.
The company now relies on a reusable technological foundation, accelerating the launch of new products.
The platform is prepared for continuous measurement and optimization, supporting data-driven decisions.
More than operational gains, Mitsui's Digital Platform established the foundation for a sustainable digital transformation.
A partnership built for the long term
The Digital Platform transformation journey reinforces the role of TRINCA as a strategic technology partner for Mitsui Sumitomo Seguros. More than developing a portal, TRINCA acted in building a vision of product, architecture, and continuous evolution, aligned with the insurer's business objectives.
This partnership combines strategic vision, digital solution design, technical excellence, and a focus on real impact, sustaining not only the present but Mitsui's next cycles of innovation in the insurance market.
We will build the ideal solution for your business.
